Join vocal coach and professional singer Jackie Jasperson for a dynamic session focused on building confidence, improving vocal technique, and helping you feel comfortable and excited to perform. Jackie brings years of experience and a passion for helping people of all ages find their voice.
In this interactive class, you’ll learn:
How to choose the right song for your voice and personality
Understanding keys and how to work with backing tracks
Finding your musical cues and knowing when to come in
Basic microphone technique and how to use it effectively
Simple ways to improve tone, pitch, and vocal delivery
How to enjoy yourself and connect with your audience
Whether you’re preparing for your first karaoke night, a family event, or just want to sing for fun, this workshop offers tools and encouragement in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

For over 20 years, Jackie Jasperson has been teaching voice, leading choirs and vocal groups, performing in musical theatre and various music groups, and directing professional and educational theater productions. She now enthusiastically teaches private and group voice lessons all over Chicagoland, including the Old Town School of Music, in addition to performing jazz standards and pop classics with her band. Jackie has a great love of helping people find their voice and confidence through lessons in breath support, vocal tone, intonation, range expansion, dynamics and phrasing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Theatre from the University of Wisconsin.

Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.
