Join us for a casual night of music and laughs at Gorton–as Bravo brings the community together!

Three top Chicago comedians will make their way up the North Shore on Thursday, October 18th. Prior to the show listen to live jazz by talented Waukegan high school musicians and enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

6:30PM – Wine & Beer Reception, Waukegan High School “Jazztet” plays favorite standards

7:30PM – Comedy Show


Rocky LaPorte–Rocky was voted the “Club Comic of the Year” in Las Vegas.  He has appeared on Cheers, Pat Sajak, The Rocky LaPorte show, and his own half hour special on Comedy Central.  Rocky also toured Iraq with Drew Carey. READ MORE.

Bill Bunker–A Chicago retired corporate executive that uses his experiences as fodder for his humor–think, “The Office”.

Jim McHugh–Jimmy has been dishing out his style of comedy for over 30 years.  Born on the northwest side of Chicago, he has traveled the country delivering laughs at comedy clubs and has been seen on ABC, HBO, Comedy Central, Oprah, MTV and ESPN. READ MORE.

Rick Young, Emcee–Founding partner of Chicago Comedy All-Stars, Rick is a Lake Forest resident and deeply involved in his community. He has pulled this program together for Bravo Waukegan and has been a supportive partner in our mission to support music education in Waukegan Public Schools.



Bravo Waukegan actively supports students of Waukegan public schools by partnering with the fine arts administration to fund opportunities to grow through music. Bravo provides resources for supervised, creative programs that take place in-school, after-school and during the summer.

Growth–To foster academic, artistic and personal growth for Waukegan public school students through music.
Opportunity–To provide the highest quality resources to children who want to play music and to faculty who want to teach it.
Community–To build a stronger Waukegan community and empower students, using music as a connector and a common language.



The Chicago Comedy All-Stars is a group of the best stand-up talent the Windy City has to offer. On stage credits include The Tonight Show, HBO, Comedy Central, Country Music Television, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Last Comic Standing, America’s Funniest People, Showtime, Fox Television, ESPN2, The Bob and Tom Radio show and WGN. From Chicago to Iraq, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and all points in between, the All-Stars have traveled around the world bringing laughter to every stop!
