Harriet at 11AM Part of the First Thursdays series
Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, HARRIET tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.
HARRIET has been nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song) for “Stand Up” and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Cynthia Erivo as Harriet Tubman).

This film is playing Wednesday February 5th at 7:00pm and Thursday February 6th at 11:00am, 3:00pm and 7:00pm.

Cynthia Erivo is a Tony®, Emmy® and Grammy® Award-winning actress who burst onto West End and Broadway stages in The Color Purple and has taken the big screen by storm. Upcoming, Erivo will star alongside Daisy Ridley and David Oyelowo in in the anticipated sci-fi thriller, Chaos Walking, from director Doug Liman. She will also star in John Ridley’s Needle in a Timestack alongside Orlando Bloom, Freida Pinto and Leslie Odom Jr. The story follows a husband whose marriage is destroyed by a time-travel rival and who will do whatever it takes to get his wife back. In addition, Erivo is set to executive produce and star in Warner Bros.’ musical take on the American folk tale of Rip Van Winkle.
