Join Kate Malmstedt, CPA from PorteBrown, as she guides us through not-for-profit financial statements.  As an expert in non-profit accounting, she knows exactly how to gleen and make sense of the relevant information.  Bring a brown bag lunch and watch as she unpacks the income, expense and balance sheets to reveal the health of a non-profit.  Unlike traditional accounting for businesses, accounting for not for profit entities is highly specialized.  There are differences in non profit reporting, exemptions, and budgeting.  Effective financial reporting is a key tool for not-for-profit entities to strengthen their operations, developing budgets and attaining the most effective processes and infrastructures

Porte Brown has been assisting non profit organizations with their audit and accounting needs for decades and consistently is listed as one of the best places to work in Illinois, offering everything from accounting to wealth management.
