Kathy Slaughter, Vice President of Development, YWCA Evanston/North Shore
Penelope Sachs, Board of Directors, Chair of Donor Engagement Committee, YWCA Evanston/North Shore
In this inspirational keynote event, you will hear from a dynamic and growing social justice organization. YWCA Evanston/North Shore is on a mission to eliminate racism and empower women and the organization and its leadership have been on a journey for over a decade to diversify their revenue, reduce their reliance on government funding and ultimately increase their impact in the communities they serve. Through a rigorous development strategy implemented over a number of years, the leadership of the organization took the necessary steps to ensure the financial sustainability and ongoing success of the organization. You will hear from two of the organizational leaders, Karen Singer, the President and CEO and Kathy Slaughter, the Vice President of Development, who have worked together in partnership to implement this plan. You will also hear from Penelope Sachs, an active board member, who will discuss a critical piece of the YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s success, engaging board members and volunteers in your development strategy. You will leave this session inspired and ready to take action for your own organization!
