Join Rosemary Caparelli for a canning lesson on homemade Giardiniera, then use some in a refreshing summer deconstructed Muffuletta pasta salad and top it off with a summery drink, part cocktail, part salad!

-recipe and ingredients to make and take a ball jar of Giardiniera
-recipe and ingredients to make and taste Muffuletta pasta salad
-recipe and ingredients to make a Summer Pimm’s Italiano
-basic canning skills
-fresh pasta salad making techniques
Grab your BFF, an apron, a chef’s knife and cutting board, and your favorite empty tall cocktail glass and join us for a summer harvest evening.
About Rosemary Caparelli:
Rosemary is a recently retired Family and Consumer Science High School teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University in Home Economics/Education and a master’s degree from Saint Xavier in Education/Leadership.
During her extensive teaching career, she has shared her love for cooking with countless students from pre k to college and beyond. In the private sector, she ran her own catering company, Favor Us, specializing in wedding cakes, mini pastries, hors d’oeuvres, and bonbonniere (Italian favors).
Rosemary credits her immigrant mother as well as her strong Calabrese Italian roots for her love of Italian food. She enjoys creating new twists and adapting old family recipes. Teaching others her culinary skills is her life’s passion.
