Cooking Class with Marina Boldrini – Empanadas!

Morning Class is 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Evening Class is 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
In this class, you will learn to make a favorite Hispanic staple Argentinian style — the empanada! This is a demonstration and hands-on class, where you will learn how to make the dough from scratch and flavorful fillings. I will talk about store bought doughs that can be found in several grocery stores as well.
You will learn to make three fillings:
- Beef (with ground beef but will also explain how to make this filling with meat cut by hand)
- Ham and cheese (a children and adults favorite with some secrets for you to achieve the best flavor and for them not to open when you bake them.
- Veggie (caramelized onions, corn and bechamel sauce).
I will also show you how to make different “repulgues” which is a sealing technique with different variations. You will make your own empanadas and will bring home half dozen to bake at home (2 of each flavor).

Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.
If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.
