September 9 Topic – The Good, Bad, and Ugly Hands in Bridge!
Can Ugly hands be Good? Can Good hands be Bad? Let’s look at pros and cons of our hands in light of
the bidding and learn to love them all (or at least not hate them any more!) Bid and Play 8 hands. Come
with your partner, or come as a single – all players are welcome. Handouts included.
September 23 Topic – To Bid or Not to Bid – Slams
Everyone loves strong hands. Can we handle them to get to the good slams and stay out of the bad
ones? How can I get my partner to co-operate? Bid and Play 8 hands. Come with your partner, or

October 7 Topic – What Do I Do With This Hand?
Two very important conventions you need to make your partner bid again and at the same time convey
information about your hand. You won’t be playing in the wrong contract again (maybe!). Bid and Play
8 hands. Come with your partner, or come as a single – all players are welcome. Handouts included.

Ginny Schuett of Riverwoods, Illinois, is a former Middle School teacher who graduated from National College of Education with a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist.  She was asked by a local community center to teach a bridge class about twenty-five years ago. Today, she teaches bridge full time in schools, community centers and private homes.

Ginny became actively involved with the American Bridge Teachers’ Association about thirty years ago.  After a few years, she became convention chairperson for their annual Teachers’ Convention for over ten years, Regional Vice-President, and President; she is currently a Director at Large.  For over 20 years, Ginny worked on the board of the Chicago Contract Bridge Association (CCBA) in many roles including education and novice chairperson, and is a past president. A recent Grand Life Master in the ACBL with over 10,000 masterpoints, Ginny has won over 80 Regionals and has many top 10 finishes in National events.  As partners, Ginny & Jeff won the national Senior Mixed Pair event in the Fall 2013 Nationals in Phoenix, and repeated winning the same event in the Fall 2014 Nationals in Providence.
