Beatles University with Professor Moptop-CANCELLED
The first class of this series (Saturday, 9/7/19) has been cancelled but please come meet Professor Moptop at our Block Party on September 14th.
For the past 20 years Gregory Alexander has been heard weekly on Chicago radio (WXRT) as he portrays a character known as Professor Moptop, who teaches deep and detailed facts about the Beatles. Using audio examples and extensive research he delves deep into the subject of each song and traces it from its origins through its completion.
He has recently self published a book and has been teaching classes at colleges and libraries on a series of different Beatles-related topics, as well as some of his other favorite subjects and people in the world.
The lessons are focused on one element of the Beatles and The Professor goes into great detail as he offers something for all types of Beatles fans, from the well versed to brand new to the in between types. The Professor is always looking to learn something “new” and his enthusiasm for knowledge is infectious. Participants who attend all six weeks will receive a “diploma” from the Professor!
