Just in time for Mother’s Day!  Paint a live flower bouquet and leave with both the bouquet and your art! The flowers will be provided by “Share a Smile” and Jennifer Evans from Periwinkle Art Studio will instruct the watercolor + colored pencil portion of the class.

Paint your own, personalized floral arrangement by sketching the basic composition, then add brushstrokes to bring life the flowers, stems and greenery.

By the end of class, you’ll leave with a lovely piece of frameable 9″x12″ art and a fresh bouquet of flowers.

This class is on Thursday, May 5 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm

About “Share a Smile”: Lake Forest moms Katie Ford and Colette Mendelson joined forces to create Share a Smile, a branch of Flowers by Katie Ford. The goal of SAS is to bring light and positivity to others while promoting the importance of mental health. For this workshop, they created an upscale version of their SAS arrangement. The workshop participants will get to paint AND take home their own bouquet.  With every enrollee Katie and Colette donate to a mental health organization and May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Help us share the importance of mental health, the beauty of flowers, creativity and painting. A true win-win!

Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
