Join Ben and David of Active Improv!

We’re excited to offer you another great opportunity to do more Improv with our NEW adult class! Beginning March 14th you can join Active Improv for fun-filled Saturday afternoons. Learn valuable skills, build courage and work together with your fellow classmates in a relaxed and supportive environment designed to bring out your best. Perfect for learners, performers and seekers of fun! All experience levels are welcome. 18+
Saturday’s from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
August 8-September 12
$120 per person

David Doane

David has improvised and acted throughout Illinois for over a decade. He has performed for Comedy Sportz, Arc Theatre Chicago, The Public House Theatre, pH Theatre, Second City, and The Playground Theatre. In addition to performing, David also teaches Improv and acting for all ages and conducts leadership and team-building workshops. He also participates in simulated police training exercises for the Vernon Hill Police Department.

Ben McGuiggan

Ben started his Improv Tenure at Carthage College where he was a part of the Improv troupe Merely Players for 3 glorious years. While part of Merely Players, he participated in the College Improv Tournament. After Graduation, it didn’t take long for him to sign up for classes at Improv Olympic in Chicago, IL. He has performed at the Playground Theater, pH Theater, and Second City to name a few.

Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.

Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.

If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.
