Boost Your Creativity: Activities for your Left Brain!
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED. PLEASE JOIN US NEXT WEEK!
This is Session 2: Exploring Color
Colors have meaning and symbolism. We can use color to change our mood. Colors have a different appearance if we look at them alone or grouped with other colors. This session will build basic knowledge of color based on the color wheel, and build palettes to use as a basis for art activities. Bring your favorite set of watercolors and a brush to the workshop (instructor will also provide some).
This is the second session in a series to break out of your left brain, linear-thinking tasks: schedules, processes, routines, and sameness. These art activities will infuse your day with right brain activity to help balance cognitive energy. Learn these art processes to be more mindful, playful, and open to new ways of thinking. Prior knowledge of art techniques is not necessary; these are adaptable exercises using common supplies.
Session 3: Shapes, Abstracts & Collage on Thursday, February 21st; 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more.
