GORTON IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR NEW FENCING program led by Tsanko Hantov, the owner of Windy City Fencing - Chicago, Inc.
Tsanko Hantov competed in the 2000 Olympic Games and won a Bronze Medal at the 2001 World Championships in the Modern Pentathalon. He was National Senior Champion in 1998 and National Junior Champion in 1995 and 1996 in Men's Epee in Bulgaria, and continues to be an "A" rated fencer.
Tsanko has coached fencing for more than seven years, and has extensive experience training fencers at all levels. He has been the head coach at Windy City since 2005. He is a graduate of the National Sports Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria.
This classes offer an excellent opportunity to learn this famed Olympic sport! All ages 8 years plus and all levels of ability are welcome.
Fencing is a unique sport that's great for recreation, fitness, or competition. This Olympic sport demands a blend of tactical and strategic thought and a physical execution of those decisions.
