2018 is just around the corner! Come learn how to make 2018 your year of transformation!
Each month a new topic will be discussed that will propel you towards a healthy lifestyle. You will learn how to set realistic goals and how to make gradual changes. Over time, these changes add up to a permanent lifestyle transformation.
Topics will include:
Jan 11: Exercise – Why do I need to exercise? What type is best? How often do I need to exercise and for how long? Receive a surprise gift at this seminar!
Feb 8: Healthy Eating – What is the healthiest diet? Should I be eating carbohydrates? Protein? Fat? It is all so confusing!!
March 8: Developing a Food Plan – Where do I start? How do I plan a week of healthy meals? What resources are available to help me? End the dreaded 4:00 question of “What am I going to make for dinner?”
April 12: Cravings & Willpower– Help! How can I stop my cravings? What does research show as the most effective strategy to deal with cravings? What is willpower and why doesn’t it keep me from giving in to my cravings?
May 10: Fiber & Hydration – Why is fiber so important and how much do I need? What foods are rich in fiber? What effects does dehydration have on my body?
June 14: Eating Out and Portion Control – What are the best foods to order when eating out? What are key words I should look for on the menu? What strategies can I use to help control my portions?
About the Instructor: Laura Main has her master’s degree in physical therapy and is a certified health coach and a strength coach. As a physical therapist for over 20 years, she has witnessed the heartbreak of people suffering from chronic and preventable diseases due to poor lifestyle choices. Laura’s passion is helping people enjoy vibrant, thriving lives by encouraging and empowering them to transform their health. Laura lives in Wadsworth with her husband and four children. She sees clients at Marshall’s 584 in Lake Forest.
